Red, White, and Blue

Oh, the 4th of July! I can still smell the smoke from the fireworks. Besides lighting fireworks, the most common activity on the 4^th is to go to or host a barbecue. Since these events are generally potlucks, I brought cupcakes--red, white, and blue cupcakes. 

To make these cupcakes I layered red velvet cake batter with white cake batter and blue-dyed  white cake batter. To finish them off I piped buttercream frosting using Wilton tip 2D and added red and blue sprinkles. Yum!
